About Lifespan Edge
Shaping the future of longevity and wellness.
Lifespan Edge is a longevity clinic at the frontier of science, offering personalized, data-driven treatments like Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) to help people live longer, healthier, and more vibrant lives.
Our approach

Our approach combines advanced testing, physician-led care, and personalized longevity protocols shaped by Dr. Michael Roizen, one of the country’s leading voices in preventive medicine.
Where care begins today
Today, that care begins with therapeutic plasma exchange, or TPE, a treatment designed to remove and replace a portion of a patient’s plasma as part of a broader longevity protocol.

Why John and Mike built Lifespan Edge.
In this conversation, John Mauldin and Dr. Michael Roizen discuss the personal story behind Lifespan Edge, the science that shaped their approach, and why they believe longevity care should begin before decline becomes obvious.

Our story
For John Mauldin, this was personal.
For John, the idea behind Lifespan Edge came from lived experience and the drive to make a difference for families like his.
After watching his father and several family members experience dementia and memory loss, John began noticing early cognitive changes in himself. He wanted to understand what was happening, what options were available, and what he could do while there was still time to act.
He did not want to wait and wonder.
That search led him to therapeutic plasma exchange, also known as plasmapheresis, and to a deeper conversation with his longtime friend, Dr. Michael Roizen, about the future of longevity medicine.
In 2024, the two joined forces to build a new kind of clinic, one that pairs rigorous, evidence-based science with deeply personal care. What began as one man’s search became the foundation for Lifespan Edge: a longevity clinic built for patients who want to take aging seriously, before decline becomes obvious.

How Plasma Exchange Could Help Turn Back the Clock on Aging
A recent study explored how a procedure called therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) could slow down the biological aging process. TPE involves removing a person’s blood plasma and replacing it with a plasma substitute, sometimes combined with immunoglobulins (IVIG). The study showed that this procedure not only helps “reset” the body’s internal systems…

AMBAR (Alzheimer Management by Albumin Replacement) Study
The AMBAR (Alzheimer Management by Albumin Replacement) study explored a unique treatment approach that involves removing and replacing a portion of a person’s blood plasma—known as plasma exchange—to see if it might help slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers tested this procedure in people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s, aiming to filter out…
